Pranayama - It is important for us as instructors to be accessing the great power of pranayama and sharing this knowledge with our students in our classroom and private settings. As we gain a deeper understanding of not only the exercises themselves, but how each truly benefits the bodies with their healing, uplifting and calming qualities, each of our students will also extensively experience and teach in this experiential weekend with Stephanie DeTar
Restorative Yoga - This weekend will be filled with the history and benefits of Restorative yoga, along with common restorative poses, key principles and concepts for designing and facilitating this style of teaching. Think of a weekend with you floating on a cloud of bolsters, blocks, straps, and blankets as you experience, practice teach and gain a wealth of knowledge of this wonderful practice, and how to offer this style to your community of practitioners with Eileen Lynch
Kid Focused Yoga - This weekend will be filled with growls and kid like play as you learn to teach techniques for our youth. Over the course of this weekend you will learn a kids focused posture clinic, effective communication in class, meditation, designing classes with Christel Grange Hicks & Eileen Lynch
Posture Clinic - Understanding the 5 Vayus and how we can access a deeper understanding of anatomy within the individual body to help our students create a greater understanding of how their bodies work within the asana practice. We will be looking at individual anatomy in observation of student models with Stephanie DeTar & Christel Grange Hicks
Yoga for the Individual - This weekend focuses on moving into privates and how we can access a more individualized approach to our students needs. During this weekend you will also learn a Thai Yoga approach so that you may assist students into deeper stretch and support for release with Eileen Lynch
Community Outreach Project & Organizing Retreats & Workshops - It is a treasure to teach in our weekly public classes in our studios and other locations around town, but for some of us we want to reach into creating more of an array of offering. This weekend will challenge us to create and bring to fruition a community outreach program, retreat, and workshop offering, accessing a broader outreach for ourselves as instructors and deepen our connection to community with Stephanie DeTar
Trauma Based Yoga - Trauma, a word that many of us can identify with. Over this weekend you will softly be guided into a greater understanding of how to approach and hold space for students that have trauma and how we can offer a practice they can settle into without triggering. You will create a dialogue designed for individuals with truama, and also systems effected, breathing exercises, posture stability, modifications in poses, communication/wording, boundaries and appropriate responses with Erika Wynn
Yoga Nidra - This practice is on the uprise and studies are proving the great benefits to this practice. During this weekend you will gain a deeper understanding into all aspects from the neurological, physical, emotional and mental pieces. You will be equipped with the know how to thoroughly understand and offer this practice to your students.
